10 Plays in 10 Hours!

Horton Plaza Shopping Mall

(PUBLIC EVENT - FREE ADMISSION)

Various artists performed 10 of Shakespeare's plays in only 10 hours! Theatre troupes and schools from throughout San Diego County performed shortened versions of the plays.  Sonnets and singing were presented between plays. Click here for photos!

"Most Heavenly Music!"

British Music and Shakespeare at the Organ Pavilion

Spreckels Organ Pavilion, Balboa Park

Program of English music, inspired by Shakespeare and of the English Renaissance - played by San Diego Civic Organist, Dr. Carol Williams. Carol's usual Sunday afternoon recital will be enhanced with complementary scenes from Shakespeare with Society actors. Scenes include Romeo and Juliet, Henry V and A Midsummer Night's Dream, directed by SDSS's Artistic Director, Vanessa Dinning.

Society members perform with the San Diego Chamber Orchestra

Actors from the San Diego Shakespeare Society took part in a condensed version of A Midsummer Night's Dream along-side the San Diego Chamber Orchestra.
